Waste & Recycling Conveyor Belts

Waste treatment plants place demanding requirements on conveyor belt performance, including puncture and tear resistance, comprehensive resistance to oil, chemicals, and the physical stability required for automated sorting systems.

In feeding and primary shredding areas handling mixed municipal waste and construction debris, High Strength Tear Resistant Conveyor Belts are recommended. The carcass structure should incorporate transverse steel mesh or polymer breaker layers, combined with abrasion-resistant cover compounds, to withstand impact from falling materials and help prevent puncture and longitudinal tearing caused by sharp metal scrap or broken glass.

In food waste and organic waste treatment areas, Oil and Chemical Resistant Conveyor Belts are recommended. Cover compounds should utilize NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) or CR (Chloroprene Rubber) formulations to resist swelling caused by animal and vegetable oils, as well as corrosion from acidic and alkaline liquids, helping to prevent ply separation and surface cracking.

In magnetic separation and fine recycling areas, Non-Magnetic Scratch-Resistant Conveyor Belts are recommended. The carcass structure should utilize EP (Polyester) or NN (Nylon) fabric to avoid magnetic interference, while enhanced cover hardness and scratch resistance help withstand friction from sorting scrapers and robotic arms, maintaining belt surface integrity and conveying accuracy during continuous operation.
